Dr. Vikas Dua is a prominent pediatric hematologist and hemato-oncologist with more than two decades of experience in managing childhood blood disorders, cancers and conditions requiring bone marrow transplantation. He currently serves as Principal Director & Head of Pediatric Hematology, Hemato-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram.
His clinical expertise includes pediatric leukemia, thalassemia, aplastic anemia, inherited blood disorders, and complex immune-related conditions. He has developed particular expertise in pediatric bone marrow transplantation, including matched sibling, unrelated donor and haploidentical transplantation. His international training includes a pediatric BMT fellowship at National University Hospital in Singapore, as well as specialized training at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the USA.
Dr. Dua also places considerable emphasis on communication with children and their families, helping them understand complex diagnoses and treatment options during what can be a particularly difficult period.
